Massage/Tui Na
Tui Na is a therapeutic form of massage that's been used in China for over 2,000 years. Tui Na massage therapy is used for giving special treatments to people of all ages, from infancy to old age. This therapy is often used in conjunction with Acupuncture, Cupping and herbal treatment using Taoist and martial arts principles applying rhythmic compression techniques along different energy channels of the body to establish harmonious flow of Qi throughout the body and bringing it back ino balance. Your practitioner will use any variety of hand movements including brushing, kneading, rolling, pressing, and may rub the areas between each of the joints to attempt to open the body's defensive energy and get the energy moving in the meridians and muscles by stimulating Acupressure points. During a Tui Na treatment these blockages are removed from the different meridians and muscles allowing for the Qi to continue moving smoothly.
Typically, treatments of Tui Na can last anywhere from thirty to sixty minutes, depending on the severity of the patients condition and their needs.

Tui Na treatment can be very helpful for reducing the pain of the neck, shoulders, hips, back, as well as arms, thighs, legs and ankle disorders. Another major advantage is the ability to treat specific problems like arthritis, sciatica and muscle spasms without neglecting chronic conditions such as insomnia, constipation and migraines.
But for those who merely need to release some deep muscular tensions without addressing any other medically oriented conditions, we also offer Deep Tissue Massage by our well trained and licensed massage therapist. Poor postures and body movements, as well as injury, can often lead to deep seated tensions within the body's muscle and connective tissue layers. These tensions often lead to adhesions in muscles, tendons and ligaments that block circulation and cause pain as well as limited ranges of movement and inflammation. Deep Tissue Massage alleviates these problems by physically breaking down these adhesions in order to restore proper movement and to alleviate pain.
